The urexent® therapy is a form of individual immunotherapy based on the patient's own urine. It is used in the treatment of autoimmune diseases of various forms, especially neurodermatitis. Autoimmune diseases are often caused by a dysfunction (incorrect control) of the immune system which the urexent® therapy can help regulate.
Immunologically active substances are obtained from the patient's urine. They are concentrated, activated and processed into an individual drug that is individually tailored to the needs of the patient. urexent® can have an immunomodulating effect and a regulating influence on the malfunction of the immune system.
urexent® is used with great success in the treatment of so-called atopic diseases such as neurodermatitis, but also allergic rhinitis.
The urexent® therapy is particularly suitable for the treatment of infants and toddlers suffering from neurodermatitis. The treatment is virtually free of side effects. (See question on side effects). With small patients, the drop preparation is administered with water or tea. Even fully breastfed children can take the drops with the mother's milk.
Yes, we do have urexent adult®, which can be used successfully with adolescents and adults with a mild form of autoimmune disease.
The therapy usually lasts 12 months, a therapy with urexent adult® approx. 8 months.
urexent® is administered in the form of drops for ingestion. For certain diagnoses nasal spray can additionally be provided. An exact dosing schedule facilitates the correct application of your individual drug.
Since urexent® is made of the body's own material, it is well-tolerated and thus virtually free of side effects. In some cases, an initial aggravation of the symptoms was observed at the beginning of the therapy. A physical dependence does not occur. urexent® is free of chemical additives and free of cortisone.
Due to the elaborate manufacturing process and microbiological quality controls, the manufacturing process lasts approximately 2 - 3 weeks.
The manufacture of the individual pharmaceutical product may be prescribed by doctors and alternative practitioners who cooperate with FBM-PHARMA.
